The Faculty of Economics offers a fully-articulated academic curriculum – from foundation studies for the degree of Bachelor to specialization courses at Master’s level. We are particularly committed to high-quality and distinctive teaching at all levels; teaching that best expresses its whole educational potential in relatively contained class numbers. Our objectives are facilitated by working in small groups and through direct, one-to-one student-teacher contact, where interaction and openness are essential. Academic, researchers and doctoral assistants – who have built up experience worldwide and rank high in their research activities – create the ideal environment for ambitious and inquisitive young people to undertake important professional careers.

Aim of the Faculty of Economics is to allow students to gain in-depth knowledge of the economy and with specific skills for applying this knowledge in the practice. To achieve these objectives in the study program are deals with theoretical aspects of the field, which are focusing on their practical application.

The studies are founded on the latest developments in the field of Economics and allows students to perform various tasks in business and non-profit and the social and political organizations. Interdisciplinary as an essential feature of the legal sciences, also it characterizes the economic field and allow students to direct and shape their future career by accepting the knowledge that will enable them to:

  • analysis of the main macroeconomic aggregates with the only intention of determining their mutual conditionality in the dynamic framework;
  • acquiring knowledge and skills that will allow them to follow modern trends microeconomic logic of functioning and the relationship of the individual markets;
  • critical analysis in the compatibility of, efficiency and implications of economic policies and their instruments;
  • gained knowledge and skills are becoming operational for the analysis of modern economic processes in national economies, regional economic Integrations and world economy.
  • To diagnose the actual market developments and to anticipate trends of these developments, to analyze the effects of economic policies on microeconomic agents and on market trends;
  • to calculate basic macroeconomic aggregates and balances, and critically analyze the existing macroeconomic policies;
  • to make a critical analysis the compatibility of components and drivers that deliver economic system;
  • to apply quantitative methods of macro and micro-economic analysis in formulating new approaches and analysis of existing models of economic growth in national economies;
  • to give a critical analysis of development policies and their implementation in the national economy;
  • to analyze the general processes of economic development in the world (especially the processes of transition, regionalization and globalization of world economic trends) and their impact on the national economy.
